Been listening for the past hour or so to all of the stations and eveything I've heard has made me smile (especially the sublime Illinois Street Lounge). Quite an accomplishment on a grey and rainy Friday night here in Bracknell, Berkshire (UK). Huge thanks and well done to everyone involved. I'll be subscribing very soon. -- Matt Thurgood, July 11, at 12:33p
I am DIGGIN' Illinois Street Lounge! It makes one feel like one is either in a madcap '60s farce starring Rock Hudson and Doris Day, cruising with Sean Connery as James Bond, an episode of "Bewitched," "That Girl" or "Get Smart," or a particularly trippy segment of "Sesame Street," depending on the song. SO groovy! -- Jenny, July 10, at 6:24p

WOW, SOMA FM (Groove Salad) is really ROCKING today, what a masterpiece of a day. Simply unbelievably good some of the tunes today - loved Jani Hace - Sangita. These tunes are truly from the heavens, each piece must tells such a story, of the creators and fantastic musicians behind them (I wish I knew some of them!) - dedicated artists that they are. I hope some of these tunes are coming out of the UK, and we are still rocking it out. Thanks SOMA Rich -- Rich, July 3, at 8:47a

SG-11 - South La Petite Roche, Arkansas is listening….Recently return from Colorado after another stellar higher dimensional shift via Ozrics two dazes gig with Ed’s Gitar taking us thar….Yep, I had to disconnect from SOMAFM platform station…. I received some stickers from SOMAFM which I was selective on which one’s to place on my rental mobile…Upon returning stated travel mode I asked the attendant if she wanted me to pull the stickers off and she looked at them and said no….Ah, I think another SOMAFM listener lurking out thar??? Once again, it’s good to be back home and docked onto Space Station…But, why do I keep missing me fave three artists; System 7, Eat Static and the Orb recently beaming from Space Station whilst I am riding the ranch? Sad face here….Another Five Star Salute to Space Commando Rusty…Peace and Keep Zee Faith whilst beaming and making us smile as always… -- Rainbow Traveller 2012, June 25, at 3:44p

hey - i LOVE what y'all are doing. i've always got soma fm on 24/7. in fact every computer i sit down at, (whether mine or someone else's) i load all 14 soma channels into itunes for the next user to "stumble on." my suggestion is this: create a link which simultaneously loads ALL 14 .pls files into itunes at once. this way users wont have to go back and forth so many times between the site and itunes. i'm not even sure if this is possible but it would certainly make it easier for me to spread the Soma FM vibe!!! keep it up! SG-11 South of La Petite Roche, Arkansas is listening… Notice to new Stargate Surfer arrivals…… Please check out the link “about Somafm”…. Here is some sweet news for you to digest from thar along with a history of SOMAFM… “What can we expect in the future? Our goal is to make SomaFM available in as many ways as possible - from internet radio, to cell phones and wireless devices, over the air and HD multicast radio, to satellite broadcasts. Wherever you are or whatever you're doing, we want to make SomaFM available to you. Through SomaFM's partnership with NPR, we're making our programming available over the air by providing a special version of Groove Salad for NPR member stations to use on their HD multicast channels. (HD Multicast is a new technology that allows FM HD Radio stations to broadcast multiple channels of programming at the same time.) We also plan to launch more channels and specialty on-demand and podcast programs. Since we have such a small budget, we have to move slowly. But because we don't have to answer to investors or VCs, we can broadcast exactly what we want to. Thanks for listening, and remember... SomaFM Loves You!!!! “…… My food for thought…Please support SOMAFM Station via their sponsorship links thus keeping them beaming along with the possibility of new future construction docking stations….. Peace and Keep Zee Faith… -- Rainbow Traveller 2012, May 25, at 2:48p
somafm. SWEET SWEET SOUNDS. I've been listening for a long time. would be pissed if you guys went off air. Rusty I've emailed you before with a bunch of random ideas. Hope you keep the money trickling in in order to pay bills and survive. I'm serious...if it comes right down to it you could offer additional music streams or uniterrupted MUSIC streams for paying members ($1.99 or $2.99 a month?) whilst allowing other non-payers to check SOMA FM out and decide whether they want to pay a minor subscription or not. STAY ON AIR GUYS! do a "drive" get your current listeners to email friends about SOMA FM. -- Beeboy (United Arab Emirates), May 25, at 12:48p
Has anybody found a way to scrobble things like SOMAFM Stations on last.fm? or if its even possible -- Andy, May 25, at 2:33a

SG-11 South of La Petite Rocha, Arkansas is listening………Well…well…well, seems SOMAFM Station just might be piping near you via your auto system…A while back I mention Satellite beam waves so that Space Station could be with me wherever I drove but the cost would probably be high…Whilst dock on Space Station and surfing I came across something sweet to digest. Oh course, the presenter did mention Groove Salad which got my attention. So, there is another method to pipe your favorite SOMAFM Stations through your vehicle system…But, I can not tell you via this message since it might be classified as advertiser link…But a clue I can give…it feeds via your cell phone web link “SOMAFM.com”….The informational link was found via my normal desktop shortcut too tuner2 SOMAFM wormhole docking link…. A special transmission wave message being sent to Space Commando Rusty, food for thought to digest and possible share with others.... Ah, just think driving down the highway in an orange flame (another Hawkwind tune saying) whilst listening to several of me fave vibration waves emitting from HQ SOMAFM Station… Which speaking of, I noticed four more new platform stations built whilst I was sleeping…Very rarely now dazes do I listen to vocal music anymore but your Watergate did a retro job on me…Ah yes…. Kansas “Carry On Wayward Son”… Sweet move thar Space Commando Rusty and SOMAFM HQ….Peace and Keep Zee Faith -- Rainbow Traveller 2012, May 20, at 11:06p
How about some of that good ole Gas Money CD from Philly. God bless ya'll and this site. -- Doug E Style, May 20, at 8:32p
Ok ... i live and work near you guys and this is really cool. Love the site and the fact that you guys are listener-supported like KPFA. Aloha from Hawaii! I've been listening to Soma for years and years - don't know how many musicians and songs I've learned about just from listening here. Can't put a price tag on that, although I did sign up to send a few $$ monthly. And the t-shirt rocks. Hope more folks send some cash over, I'd be devastated if Soma went off the air. -- John McClain, May 19, at 11:34a
Hi Soma. You guys are a stress-reliever for my soul. Boot liquor has all my favourite music. Keep up the great work, and is there a forum nearby for lovers of alt-country and texas-twang? -- dBasement, May 18, at 5:52p

SG-11 South of La Petite Rocha, Arkansas is listening….Recently docked and surf via Space Station. I came across something old but yet something new to these ears. Piping through the station one track came on and grab my attention… ‘Sounds from the Ground - High Rising”…. Totally sweet one thar via Wave Forums Transmissions…Recent death on my other half side of the family has had my mind filled. But, once back in this zone and switching channel wave length searching for uplift, Space Commando has once again filled that void and shifted me upwards and outwards within his Sea of Tranquility … Cheers, Space Commando Rusty… -- Rainbow Traveller 2012, May 15, at 10:54p

A major source of the music that I buy: Groove Salad, and now Lush. You may wish to link to Amazon (non-DRM) MP3s as well as CDs (but only if it would help $-wise), since they have a lot of the stuff you play that's out of print. -- Lloyd, May 14, at 9:05a

Yo, been listening since at least 2003. Secret Agent is the best damn station out there. That, Cliqhop and (more recently) Tag's Trip have been instrumental in me not failing out of college by giving me something nice and unobtrusive to grind on. Though oddly enough I've never liked Drone Zone and rarely listen to Groove Salad- you'd think I'd love those if I wanted unobtrusive. Keep on pumping out the terabytes! -- Chris, May 4, at 5:06p
i love you people, my life is so much better because of Soma Fm :) -- joe, May 4, at 10:37a

I love BOOT LIQUOR! I thought I knew a thing or two about GOOD country music... Well, this show has proved I also have a little left to learn! The diversity of songs is great and I'm glad that some of the old great artists are featured, but not necessarily their monster hits (Jim Croce's "Speed Ball Trucker" for example this past hour). A great show. It shows exactly why commercial radio is so difficult to listen to. Thanks. -- Cyclone J, March 29, at 9:49a

ambient got one of my favourite genres when i met dronezone.. its another world.. well.. sometimes groovesalad.. everything is cool in somafm. but i dont understand why this kind(way) of attitude on the 'commercials'.. it sounds bad. maybe because u are americans (lol). but maybe i don't understand the situation well and i criticize this way. greetings and keep up the good work! -- psychosis, March 18, at 4:42p

SG-11 South of Petite Roche, Arkansas is listening…. Even thou in a food for thought tasting/teasing stage with Stations Digitalis and Sonic Universe, could you please add them to the playlists/music recent zone. This would allow us to see what we missed which in turn guide us to dock into the station our current mind and body phase directs us too those Ear Candy electromagnetic waves. I seem to be missing some recently played sweet grooves channeling from them due to not being able to stay docked at all times. This would make it easier once I dock and surf via SOMAFM HQ which station to home into and kick it back with for awhile as you have done with the others… Peace and Keep Zee Faith... .. . -- Rainbow Traveller 2012, March 15, at 10:34p

Awesome mixes...great tunes...vibes...best radio on the web NYC - NY, USA -- Wozzle, March 12, at 7:07p
Oh and, what i like about your channels is that they are like a pattern connecting all the songs together with a certain style, philosophy and mood. This gives it so much more depth. Like a stand alone complex. Compare it with a carpenter who has his own unique style against one who makes what would sell best. And since I like my life to be unique, have a certain intellectual depth and definitely not materialistically sporadic driving on impulses, SomaFM just naturally fits with this style of life. Thanks! -- Dries (Netherlands), March 12, at 9:44a
It made my week seeing new channels on somaFM. Sonic Universe is awesome! -- Dries (Netherlands), March 12, at 9:29a

cool, two new stations on soma.fm - AND four more on shoutcast.com??? ...Lush, Suburbs of Goa, Digitalis, Cover Me... are these official Soma Streams, that aren't added yet on the website? or just fakes? -- mario, March 8, at 1:51p
After reading some of these posts, i would like to add that - Rusty, sorry for all those idiots complaining about the 'commercials'. I don't mind them, never have. It's unfortunate that it is always the negative people that tend to speak out more than others. Just remember that for the few that don't like it, there are thousands of other listiners like me that don't mind and understand what you are trying to do. and we appreciate it! keep it up! -- AJ Avanti, March 8, at 12:44p
